Lillie graduated from Moore College of Art in
Philadelphia and had a very sucessful 22 year career in the fasion
industry as a leading designer of active wear. She was the top
tenniswear designer in the US for 5 consecutive years. Lillie chose
an early end to her design career to embark on a 7 year cruising
adventure with her husband, an avid sailor. While exploring the
coasts of the US, Caribbean and Mexico, she renewed her love of
painting watercolors, seeing colors and light as few people ever
experience. Even while crusing, she continued her studies with
recognized watercolor artists in workshops, classes and open
painting groups. In 2002 Lille and her husband returned to land in
Vero Beach, Florida, where she has become an active member of the
local arts community.
"As a Plein Air Painter of the Treasure Coast, I
see the colors in our natural surroundings that we often pass by
without even noticing.Color and nature are a partnership that
drives me to want to capyure the effect of the sun on everyday
scenes in ways that elicit the mood of the say".
Lillie has exhibited locally and in Maryland and
has sold her art to a number of collectors in the US.
